PTZ
Tracking
Nio’s CloseView outperforms any single
camera PTZ Tracker on the market
that we have tested. With multiple
reference cameras positioned
properly, it has so far been
IMPOSSIBLE to miss any
evidence-grade recordings of
perimeter intrusions.
Diamond Quest has worked with
several PTZ trackers on the market
and found this particular method
of using separate reference cameras
in conjunction with the PTZ camera
to be the best performer. During
calibration, you can set priority
areas or exclusion areas for
tracking behavior.
This is an intelligent
auto-track PTZ controller and
works in conjunction with up to
four reference cameras for
simultaneous multiple-object
tracking.
The tracking technology
utilizes a wide-angle reference
video camera to detect and track
motion and automatically directs
the PTZ camera to zoom into the
region of interest so faces and
car licenses are clearly and
sharply recorded along with wide
area coverage.
There is quite a bit of setup
involved to get this technology to
perform as designed, but when it
is set up properly, it is an extremely
valuable tool that provides
unattended surveillance of moving
objects.
Please contact us for an
on-site demonstration at your
facility.

LPR
at High
Speed
Here we
demonstrate 'beyond normal' LPR
capability by using a
rearward-facing camera
which
quickly and accurately reads
plates at high closing speeds.
Genetecs'
AutoVu system works in the rain,
at night, just as well as you are
seeing here.
If a tag
number is matched to one in the NCIC,
FCIC, or DAVID database hotlist,
an alarm will sound and the driver
would turn around in hot pursuit.

LPR
in the Parking Lot
LPR for
parallel, 45 and 90-degree parked
vehicles is quick and accurate.
Here is we are showing the speed
at which AutoVU can read 90-degree
parked vehicles. Accuracy is just
as good in inclement weather or at
night.
Tags found
in the hot list immediately
generate alarms.
The
cameras contains the main program
which permits usage of existing
vehicle PC's without performance
degradation.
Review of
tag readings is easy using the
Genetec AutoVu intuitive touch
screen interface.
There are
many uses of this valuable tool
for law enforcement, parking
revenue generation, access control
and vehicle 'neighborhood
cruising' detection.
We encourage
you to contact us for a full
demonstration.

Beam
PTZ Control
This is a
simple application of programming
the software to provide
pan tilt zoom (PTZ) functions whenever a
infrared beam is penetrated. This
function may be restricted to run
only at certain times of the day.
Bookmarks may be automatically
added to the database when the
beam is tripped so that retrieval
of the video for playback is
simplified.
|

|
|
|
| |
|
Gate
Control
In cases
where security guard personnel are
not available at site entry
points, the user of the system
verifies the vehicle tag license
plate or driver and can then
operate the gate from anywhere on
the network.
Gate
control is provided by the
software macros. The macro invokes
the opening of an encoder relay
which activates the gate motor.
This macro can be easily assigned
to say 'the ctrl-F1' key on the
keyboard.
When
the user presses the key, a camera
automatically zooms into the area,
the gate motor is activated and
the vehicle passes thru. The gate
closes automatically after one
minute.

Motion
Detection with Audio and PTZ
As you
will hear, the motion detector was
equipped with a speaker that
output the message that you were
under camera surveillance. This
may have been a deterrent to the
intruder.
Our
outdoor motion detectors can be
installed onto a variety of
surfaces and may be wireless to
facilitate
installations in remote site
areas, or locations that are time
consuming to wire.
Wireless
receivers may be placed in
corresponding camera encoder
inputs to control the PTZ functions
as required.

Network
Video Components
Diamond
Quest will interface with client's
fiber utilizing dedicated rugged
VLAN network switches that provide
network connectivity to 170-degree
fahrenheit rated camera encoders.
Each encoder provides access control inputs
and relays as well as audio inputs
and outputs.

TAG, PTZ
and INTERCOM
Low
mounted cameras are used to
capture license plate images.
Infrared beams control the PTZ
camera when the vehicle passes
thru the beams.
The PTZ
camera automatically moves into
position to record an overall view
of the vehicle. Dispatch is
notified via a sound file played
on their PC that someone s approaching
the intercom station.
The
intercom provides additional
facial camera, call button and
two-way audio over the network, which
may be wireless.

Privacy
Masking
Public
concern regarding surveillance
capabilities of private homes is
addressed
by way of
masking the camera.
System
operators are limited in viewing
abilities outside the facility,
and within predetermined zoom
levels, thereby providing you with
a means to disclose to the public
how their privacy is being
protected.
In
addition, the system is available
with a Remote Viewer, which allows
the administrator to
covertly monitor viewing
activities.

PTZ Camera
with Infrared
Where
budgeting for short wave infrared
or thermal cameras is
non-existent, we offer several IR
PTZ cameras. Here we are showing a
spot beam, 850 nanometer lamp,
camera-combo we call a
'hammerhead'.
It is a cost-effective way to
provide ample
surveillance capability to areas
within a 150 foot radius with no
ambient light.

Synchronous
playback of
multiple motion
detection zones
with PTZ control
The system
provides synchronous playback for
viewing single events on multiple
cameras. Here, a playback sequence
of three cameras is showing
someone walking around the
facility while tripping various
motion detectors.
These
detectors are strategically placed
at locations related to the
viewing areas of specific cameras.
The
cameras go to predefined views
related to motion sensitive areas,
as the detectors are being
tripped.
Such an approach to this
simple form of surveillance allows
for more coverage of an intrusion
and synchronous playback provides
additional
video evidence using several
camera angles.

System
Failover
The Omnicast software has its own Failover
capabilities.
If a video server's HDD or network
connection goes down, secondary Failover
servers will automatically reconnect users to
cameras, and resume recording.
It works
very quickly, with only seconds of lost video.
Here we see a system that has over
350 cameras installed,
16 are being viewed. The primary server fails and all cameras
are switched to the secondary
server(s). All users are reconnected
and previous displays are restored. This feature is a must for
reliable citywide surveillance systems due to the inevitable
risk of computer failures.
Of course, the secondary servers may be located anywhere on the wide area network via fiber uplink,
to insure bandwidth throughput for display and recording functions,
as well as being physically located in
other buildings in case
of catastrophic damage.

Wireless
camera PTZ
Here is a
sample of our 5Ghz encrypted PTZ
camera at night. It is mounted 150
feet high.
The video
format is MPEG4-4CIF (704x480 pixels)
and the frame rate is 15 frames
per second.
The camera
(a Pelco Spectra III SE) was
installed several years ago prior
to IP cameras entering the market.
As new
technology arrives, we test
alternative components for viewing
quality and reliability as well as
manufacturer
support and warranty. This
particular camera comes with
non-limited three year warranty.

|
|
|
| |
|
Wireless
Door Contacts
These
particular contacts have a three
to five year battery life, and are
simple to install and configure.
The encoder input receives the
signal and controls the cameras to
record both outside and inside
entry into the facility. Of course
all entries are book marked into
the database for later retrieval.

Police
Camera Control over VPN
Here we
are demonstrating our customer’s
use of PTZ cameras installed
throughout the buffer zone at a
shopping mall. The cameras are
accessible through the Police
Departments’ VPN using standard
carrier air cards from the
existing PC in the vehicle. The
display frame rate is set to CIF,
8fps, while the recording rate is
set to 4CIF, 15fps.
Police
officers can control the cameras
for surveillance using the Genetec
Omnicast Live Viewer application.
Back at the Police
department, detectives can call up
high quality archived video
sequences for investigative
purposes or export video to AVI
and ASF format for evidentiary
usage.
When the
cameras are not being controlled
by officers, they automatically
begin patrolling the
area in a well thought out pattern
which provides complete coverage
of key locations.

|
|
|
| |
|
Perimeter
Alarm
Cameras are running a default pattern of fixed presets.
When a perimeter beam is broken, several cameras begin a smooth pan of the area.
A sound file and message is provided to the user, and bookmarks are
entered into the database.
